  • Detail

The waterproof measures of the bathroom are waterproof coating and protective layer, and more efforts should be made for important parts. The most important thing is to do a good waterproof test, and only when the test is complete can we pass the test. Many small details are easy to be ignored if we don't pay more attention, so we need to know more about some precautions

1. Brush the first waterproof coating. Before construction, ensure that the construction site is clean and dry, and the waterproof coating should be fully coated without omission, firmly combined with the base course, without cracks, bubbles and falling off. The painting height shall be consistent, and the thickness shall meet the specified requirements of the product

2. Brush the second coat of waterproof paint. Note that there needs to be a certain time interval between the first and second coats of waterproof coating. The second coat can be carried out only after the first coat is completely dry. The specific time depends on the coating. If the interval is too short, the waterproof effect will be greatly reduced

3. Lay protective layer. In order to prevent the subsequent construction from damaging the waterproof layer, it is necessary to lay a protective layer on the surface of the waterproof coating. The protective layer shall be completely covered with the waterproof layer, without omission, firmly combined with the base, without cracks, bubbles and falling off

4. Closed water test. During the closed water test, the water at the highest point of the ground should not be less than 2 cm, and it should be kept for at least 24 hours. It can be regarded as qualified after observing that there is no leakage. If there is leakage, it needs to be redone. Don't be careless

precautions for toilet waterproofing:

1. Make a leveling layer. First of all, the ground should be leveled with cement mortar (especially for the newly decorated house), and then waterproof treatment should be done. This can avoid leakage caused by uneven thickness of waterproof coating or puncture of waterproof coiled material

2. Do a good job in key parts. The joints between the wall and the ground and the joints between the water supply and drainage pipes and the ground are the most prone to problems. Therefore, these parts must be paid special attention to, and the treatment must be meticulous, without the slightest carelessness

3. Waterproof the wall. In order to achieve a better waterproof effect, generally, the wall of the toilet should also be waterproof with a height of about 30cm to prevent water from seeping through the wall.
