Protein molecular detection technology has made a breakthrough or can replace spinal fluid examination

according to the report of Kassel University Station in Germany, recently, a micro sensor with magnetic field developed by scientists of the university has made a breakthrough, and the prototype can be completed within this year. The sensor can detect a very small amount of protein molecules in the detection solution by remote traction magnetization of nano biological molecules. This technology is expected to innovate the way of medical diagnosis, in which the method of using magnetic nanoparticles to transport biomolecules has been patented

generally, some proteomes in patients will "leak" the disease, so doctors can sometimes diagnose the disease in time by detecting some proteins in body fluid. However, some diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease (Alzheimer's disease), only contain a small amount of this protein in the blood, and the protein may not reach the surface of the sensor during blood examination, so it is often necessary to use spinal cord fluid containing more of this protein for examination. The puncture and extraction of spinal fluid not only requires anesthesia, but also brings the risk of surgery to patients

now, the scientific research team led by Dr. Arnold eresman of the Institute of physics of the University of Kassel and the multidisciplinary research center for Nanostructure Science and technology to remember to preserve experimental data (cinsat) in Germany has proposed a new sensor concept, which can detect a very small number of specific protein molecules in the blood by remote-control traction of magnetized nanobiological molecules, so that normal blood analysis can replace spinal fluid examination

scientists first capture specific protein molecules from the detection liquid with the help of magnetic nanoparticles whose surface is covered with receptor molecules. Therefore, Anqing high tech Industrial Development Zone has been approved as the only new chemical material industry base in Anhui Province. Magnetic nanoparticles pass through the detection liquid under the action of cyclotron magnetic field, and thus produce a molecular vortex, which plays the role of "agitator" to a certain extent. Then, the nanoparticles that capture biomolecules will be pulled by the magnetic field to the sensor that can recognize magnetic particles. This cyclotron magnetic field is generated by horizontally stacked nano layers made of partially magnetized materials. Scientists have also overcome the structural obstacles and found a way to avoid the condensation caused by the mutual attraction of nanoparticles in the detection liquid

researchers believe that in addition to its role in medical diagnosis, this new particle transport concept can also be applied in the chemical industry, which may quickly bring revolutionary effects to medical diagnosis and biotechnology
