"863" key project vehicle polypropylene breakthrough

on August 29, the national "863" key research project - the key technology of automotive material simplification, led by China Petroleum and Petrochemical Research Institute and jointly completed by 9 units in the petrochemical and automotive industries, passed the on-site acceptance organized by the Ministry of science and technology. The polypropylene autoclave alloy production technology with competitive strength and wide influence innovated and developed by the project team is not only conducive to improving the self-sufficiency rate of China's polypropylene high value-added products, but also promotes the formation of the industrial chain alliance between China's petrochemical industry and the automotive industry, and is conducive to the lightweight of domestic vehicles

during the implementation of the project, the scientific researchers of China Petroleum and Petrochemical Research Institute completed the structural design and preparation of the key components and supports of the catalyst with independent intellectual property rights, and developed a new large-scale preparation technology of high-performance catalyst; A complete set of alloy technology and process control system in polypropylene autoclave have been developed. A pilot plant scale-up test has produced five polypropylene autoclave alloys with different grades and properties. On this basis, the project team has made a breakthrough in the field of new materials for eco-friendly automotive interior parts through the successful application of fiber-reinforced polypropylene autoclave interior alloy composite as a landmark supercar composite under the general group. Through the cooperative test of the cooperative unit, three varieties of polypropylene autoclave alloys with high rigidity, high elasticity and high toughness have been successfully developed with polypropylene autoclave alloy materials, and typical finished automobile parts such as bumpers and instrument panels of many models have been prepared. Loading and driving tests have been carried out, and satisfactory results have been achieved, creating conditions for large-scale and wide application in the automotive industry

according to the introduction, the polypropylene catalyst and polymerization technology independently developed by the project is applicable to the production units of liquid-gas phase process and gas-phase process. Such process accounts for more than half of the total domestic polypropylene production capacity, reaching 4million tons/year. It is expected that the production capacity will reach 7million tons by the end of the 12th Five Year Plan
